Beyonce Sparkles In New Video Shoot

March 8th, 2009 // 18 Comments

Beyonce Knowles hit the streets of New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood to film a promotional video for her I Am… world tour.

Wearing a sparkling gold dress that, um, accentuated her hips, Beyonce filmed a scene where she walked down an alleyway followed by a group of men in black suits. At one point the group was overheard chanting “Africa”.

Beyonce’s 28-show tour will begin April 26 at Arena in Zagreb, Croatia. I’m there.

her body shape is just weird
i get that she’s all..proud of her assets but her hips just look gross.

I am all for flaunting the curves, but those hips and thighs are just too much. And the way that pink-ish line goes from her waist and V’s down to her cooch… my eyes kinda keep going there.

Um, what’s this article about again?

Beyonce, girl, you seriously need to pony up the bucks for a stylist. You wear the same unflattering shape to every red carpet event, strike the same pose, etc. This dress is just more of the same. It’s time to make a change.

Her ego is just as out of proportion as her “hips”. She honestly believes herself to be a designer and stylist so why would she get anyone else’s advice? She has her entire family on her payroll telling her she’s perfect. What’s up with the chanting? Africa no less.

I get it now (the chanting), looked at the pic again and the guys are dressed like Malcolm X.

boy i hope that she is wearing some of the old school “gone w/ the wind” things that make her hips protrude.

did her mother invent that dress?

They need to figure out to wear/design clothes that flatters their body type.

    NOT A FLATTERING DRESS.
    TOO MUCH HIP ACTION!

  8. NAAWP | March 9, 2009 at 9:27 am

Not only are her hips way out of proportion but her ass is HUGE. You could park a H3 Hummer in that trunk of hers. Damn she has a fat ass! I guess it’s ok though ’cause it goes along with her ego and being a self proclaimed Diva. Work on the fat ass Bitch!

Did Mama’s House of Disaster create that trainwreck of a dress? And is it my imagination, or since Obama became president, is it now ok for blacks to be publicly and loudly racist?

    I agree – bad dress…

Whoever gave her that girdle needs to be shot. That looks nasty. It’s worse than Kardashian.

I’ve heard Beyonce’ in an interview state that she was proud of her body finally while getting older and that she was pleased to learn that having large hips were a sign of royalty in women back in the day… so I think thats what she was going for “queen of the pack”, large hips with a dress that makes them even wider! I think its a cool statement u just have to get it! and lets face it things that are considered high fashion always looks wierd in our everday life eyes! ***just sayin lol

  13. Yanna | March 9, 2009 at 6:03 pm

How is it racist to chant “Africa”? I wouldn’t think a white person was racist if they were chanting “Ireland”.

  14. Shopaholic1 | March 11, 2009 at 3:57 pm

The dress is a disaster, obviously. But where are the racist comments stemming from?
