Earlier in the week Jay-Z told reporters that his wife Beyonce would not be joining him at his headlining Glastonbury Music Festival concert because she was filming back in the States. Surprisingly, she did show up to see her husband perform and watched his entire set from a balcony safe from the messy mud.

Jay-Z was happy to show the crowd that hip-hop could handle itself at the rock festival. Noel Gallagher of Oasis was one of the first doubters, and publicly criticized the festival’s choice of Jay-Z.

So, Jay showed up with a guitar for his first song and sang the Oasis hit song “Wonderwall,” which the crowd loved.

Amy Winehouse supposedly joined Beyonce and watched the set from the balcony for a bit. I can only imagine the awkward conversations those two shared, especially right after Amy’s audience attack.
