Yesterday, we had told you that police were searching Amy Winehouse’s home in London and now it appears that they have arrested her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil for allegedly participating in a plot to stop a trial in which he and his friend, Michael Brown are accused of assaulting a bartender. Brown and Fielder-Civil are claimed to have offered nearly $420,000 to the bartender, James King, in return for him withdrawing his statement to the police about the incident. When Blake was being taken away in cuffs, hours after the search on Amy’s home took place, Amy was distraught, hyperventilating and saying over and over again, “Baby, I love you. Baby, I’ll be fine.”

As much as I do feel for Amy, who is in just a terrible emotional state at the moment, maybe the separation from her husband will be good for her–clearly they’re not that great together. But honestly, I’m also very selfishly hoping that this drama turns into some magical new music from her on a new album. I know, I know, I’m going to hell for being so petty, but dammit, my “Back to Black” CD is getting worn out.
