When watching talented superstars like Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron on the big screen, it’s easy to forget that they too had to start somewhere and haven’t always had it easy. ‘W’ Magazine recently released their annual ‘Movie Issue’ which reveals their picks for the best and brightest stars. Charlize talked about her first audition for the film ’2 Days In The Valley’ in which she considered using a food condiment to convey her emotion.
“I remember I was in a catsuit. I’d never auditioned before, and I almost brought a bottle of ketchup and squirted it all over myself for the scene where I got shot. I looked like a maniac. It was a dying scene, so I barged through the door and started crawling on the floor. I think they were too scared not to give me the role.”
Brad Pitt reminisced on similar experiences in his own career and wishes he could redo the first 11 eleven years he was in the business. His first audition was a bust, but Brad says he learned a lot from failing early on.
“I called up afterward and asked, ‘How did I do?’ There were three seconds of silence and then: ‘Have you ever thought about acting classes?’”
Seen here, Brad Pitt looks handsome as ever with his long hair and sleek body while wearing those impeccable dress clothes. Any girl would be down to tousle that hair. Charlize is extremely talented and continues to be more and more beautiful. It’s no wonder she moved to Milan at age 16 to pursue a modeling career. But lucky for us, she chose acting instead.
