As it turns out, the quiet night that Brad Pitt spent on Halloween with his kids and partner, Angelina Jolie, was one that cost him millions of dollars.

The movie star was reportedly offered $5 million to appear at the Grand Prix Ball Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. A source tells Life & Style Weekly, “He’s spending more time with the family and doing less of these appearances, even though it’s a huge sum of cash.”

A rep for the event claims that Pitt was expected to attend, “But he was a no-show, and nobody seemed to know why.” Well, it’s not because he was busy shaving his beard, that’s for sure.
