Brad Pitt spoke to Parade magazine and expressed his disgust for the tabloids and paparazzi. He also mentioned he’s very sad. Why so sad, Brad? You have several children that aren’t yours, and your wife’s never home because she’s jetting around the world looking severe, and by the look of these pics – age is coming. What’s not to be happy about?
Originally believing that the “disgusting” hype surrounding him, his partner, Angelina Jolie, and their four children would have died out around a year ago, the 43-year-old award-winning actor is surprised to see that the desire to know each and every detail of their lives is strong than ever, with little relief in sight, he tells Parade magazine in an upcoming issue.
“I understand the tabloid machine,” Pitt told the magazine. “There’s money to be made off Angie and me, but it has gotten out-of-hand. There’s no decency, even when it comes to our kids.”
Brad went on to say that people who are interested in his personal life have “something missing in themselves”. Can everyone do me a favor? Never pay money for a ticket to a Brad Pitt film ever again. Don’t even NetFlix that shit. If you see it on Comcast, change the channel. Perhaps his desire to stay out of the limelight and out of political office makes sense, given his melancholy personality, he said.
“I always felt a pervasive sadness,” he said. “I’m not sure I earned it, because it was always there. It existed in the place where I grew up – in my family, in people who have true sweetness and true goodness. Maybe it’s a congenital sadness that everyone has to some degree.”
Oh for chrissakes, it’s probably a chemical imbalance, Take a pill, and work out more and you should be fine. He sounds like such a gossamer-winged fairy. Angelina needs to take the United Nations out of his ass and let him boss her around the kitchen a little for once. This is what happens when stupid people get fed a line of crap to repeat by a hot wife with several agendas.

Brad has a point though — I mean, can’t the man buy a hot dog w/ his son without it causing a mob scene and having a thousand pictures taken? The amount of attention they’re getting while doing normal day-to-day tasks (like taking the kids to school) has gotten completely out of control. I am a huge fan of his, and yes, I want to know about his personal life to some extent, but I really don’t “need” to see pics of them picking up the kids everyday.

Amen to that. I am a fan too, and at times do feel sorry for them in terms of what they have to go through in order for their pictures everyday.
I must I read the interview and was quite impressed with his maturity level in terms of life, family and religion. Quite surprising to note that he really knows himself(remains grounded) considering the hectic life they lead with Angie.
So proud of him.

Just like when AJ was asked if she was nervous for him at some premiere and she replied that they don’t get nervous about things like this, only things that are actually important, like family. So the job that affords you your lifestyle is not important? What a stupid c*unt. I am done with both of them. I’m sure its annoying to be photgraphed constantly, but that would be the choice they both made. They certainly want the attention when it benefits them. Seriously, they really piss me off.

I assume that we will be seeing no more Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie stories on your site then, correct? After all blogs like yours only contribute to the oversaturation of Pitt-Jolie stories that are out there.
I find that the entire Hollywood gossip industry has gotten out of hand… when US magazine (last week) and OK magazine (this week) have the audacity to put photos of Britney’s son on their covers to sell copies, it’s gone too far. It’s one thing to put a photo of a celebrity on your cover and another to put a photo of a celebrity WITH their child/children on the cover, but to solely use an innocent childs image to sell stories is downright disgusting. I can totally see where Brad’s disgust and anger at tabloids comes from.

As for the pervasive sadness, I feel for him there, but J. Harvey’s probably right — familial links, persistent sadness, always looking outside of himself for happiness — probably depression.

The hype that surrounds them is ridiculous. However, they sell magazines and until the people lose interest the paps won’t stop. As long as their pictures earn thousands of dollars the tabloid machine won’t stop. And it’s understandable to think that the hype would’ve died down but it has just increased over the years. I’ve never seen it to this extent. At this point there is very little they can do everywhere they go they are followed. Even during the “year of silence” they were harassed. He’s human it’s not natural to have a camera in your face 24/7 and have everything you do splashed across the papers. No matter if they decided to be actors noone bargains for this amount of attention or harassment.

Again, too many celebs live normal lives because they don’t call the papz to alert them to every move they make. These two are attention whores and ask for the attention, then want to complain to make it look like they don’t. Unreal. They’re sick sick people and use the kids for extra attention. It’s their own damn fault. I don’t feel sorry for them. But, I for one will watch nothing they’re in. Never liked Holie’s acting anyway, but now I won’t watch Brad Wuss because he’s jsut that, a wuss.

I decided to boycott Brangelina’s movies a long time ago. I will never again pay a dime to see one of their movies, and if I can help it, I’ll avoid any that Brad produces as well. Not that I ever really watched their movies anyhow, since they were almost always crap. I think Brad ought to be happy for all the tabloid attention – when he and Angelina stop being able to get movie roles, the tabloid attention is all they’ll have. I think they can have a very successful reality show someday. “At home with the Brangelinas” All the loonies will tune in religiously, and I might even watch an episode or two!

The media wheel spins and spins, and the more I see of it, the more I realize that somehow, somewhere along the line, it has become acceptable to outright lie about people’s lives, put it in print for all the world to see, and get away with it. It’s bizarre. I thought there were laws against that type of thing. However, some celebs court the press by their actions and I think Angie & Brad are two of them. Perhaps they got more than they bargained for, and learned A LOT in the process about too much fame or infamy, but they initiated it.

It was when Angie was pregnant they were in Canada while Brad filmed AOJJ and they went to Namibia they didn’t do any interviews. Angie did one interview about educating refugees. That’s what Brad called it.

Brad and Angie often use their fame for good – if they know paparazzi will follow them, they go to Africa to shed light on the plight of refugees there. They go to the Global Health conference to get press for that cause. They are humanitarians.
However, at the same time, the paparazzi are what you sign up for when you strive to be an A list actor. You deal with it or stop shopping on Robertson Blvd. Move to NYC where most of us don’t care who you are. Suck it up. I hope they aren’t “using” their own family UN for publicity though, and if they are, then that’s disgusting. But if they aren’t, well then we should be leaving the kids alone. Stop photographing Maddox at school. Now that is ridiculous. Catch Angie getting coffee or Brad in the park, but leave the kids out of it.
I do commend them for the good work they do, and they do have some interesting movies (hello Oceans!) so there is no need to boycott them. But the are attention whores, so I don’t sympathize with them. I just wish more celeb attention whores like the Brits, Linds, Paris types could use their constant papparazi following them to shed light on various plights.

Every celebrity complains about paparazzi read Reese’s interview in Elle or Jennifer Garner in Marie Claire They also know that its part of the celebrities’ lives as both Brad and Angie have stated.i Also I agree with him if you know the full names and birthdays of their kids but you don’t know the same about your cousins kids there is a problem. If you know the name of Britney’s sons but you don’t know your U>S> senators’ names something is amiss.

you want people to leave you alone EXCEPT:
1. when you are lecturing us about your political views or asking us to donate to one of your pet projects.
2. You are out pimping you latest movie (which is like donating to your own personal charity because you and the missus make some pretty crappy movies).
3. When you want to draw attention to whatever the hell you want to draw attention to.
I personally think that you have something missing in your lives that makes you need to live it in public while complaining that you do. Look at the school you put your kid in NYC, I mean you might as well have put him on the Broadway Stage you had to know there would always be an audience. Why not set up house out of the city? Not convenient? Tough. We ALL make tough decisions when we are raising kids to try to do the best for THEM. Stop whining and start acting like a real father if that is possible. Put your kids first if you are concerned that your lifestyle is hard on them. Believe it or not we regular folk do that….yeah really, we put OUR kids first.
I found his comments to be so absurd that I spit out my coffee while reading them. He really believes the world revolves around him and seems to feel he is entitled to dictate how others act.
Just buy a dang home SOMEWHERE (try to avoid Malibu or Park Avenue) and commute to work like the rest of us and shut the heck up! It’s a start.

Oh Holy Jolie, my pervasive sadness is a burden to me. The tabloid machine just knocked me over. We are staring into a moral void. Where is all the decency gone? I considered the notion of retiring to a frontier land, to just loose ourselves in an unknown wilderness. I pondered this for many a long moment. I even lost sleep. Look at these bags under my eyes. I speak the truth. (remind me to do a cucumber eye pack tonight). As I lay there tossing (ahem) and turning, a flash of inspiration came to me! But not to worry, most men don’t usually stay with the mid-life crisis whore, and eventually move on. Children or no children. A relationship based on sand, and not a solid foundation, ends up falling apart. You don’t look to have children to make you happy, you should be happy, first with yourself, then with your partner, then the children of the partnership are the blessings. Unfortunately you put to much pressure on those kids you bring into your family unit to give you a sense of happiness and contentment. That is a heavy burden to place on children.
Why should anyone be concerned. By the time figures out that him being w/ Angelina is ruining his career, he will be outta there, and fall in lust, love with another co-star…and morph himself into her.
