So Brandy is getting sued by the other guy from her car accident. And both she and this guy are getting sued by the guy whose wife she killed. And she’s counter-suing this other guy! I think she’s going to have to do some kind of Moesha reunion show to pay off all these legal bills.
Brandy and a man who was hurt in a deadly freeway crash involving her Range Rover are suing each other. The 20-year-old singer-actress and Mallory Ham of Simi Valley accuse each other of negligence in suits filed last week in Superior Court.
In court papers filed Wednesday, Brandy Norwood contends that Ham caused the Dec. 30 crash on the San Diego Freeway in Sherman Oaks. She also denies allegations made against her in a previous lawsuit, asserts her constitutional right against self-incrimination and requests a jury trial.
Ham’s suit, filed Friday, contends that the singer drove recklessly and seeks unspecified damages.
And they’re both being sued by the husband of Awatef Aboudihaj, who was killed. And her parents and her two children have separate suits. And so do I! I wasn’t there but I’m sure this affected me somehow.

Brandy won’t have to pay any legal bills – her insurance will be covering it. That’s what it’s for. And she is only counter-suing to make sure she stands up and says she’s not to blame, so that nobody can say she didn’t deny it. Her counter-suit would be covered by her insurance company, too. She won’t be all that involved and won’t suffer anything financially except for increased insurance premiums!

izzy — not necessarily. insurance companies have limits to the litigious behavior they will facilitate. besides, we’re not just talking medical bills and property damage — there’s a wrongful death suit against her.

Well the suit the two occupants are filing against one another will basically go no where because its a he said, she said situation. The bigger story would be to find out exactly what correspondence Brandy has had with the husband of the victim. I mean at this point it would be a civil suit and therefore the Husband is seeking montetary compensation for the loss of his wife. If the D.A. is not filing charges against her then I am confused. I haven’t been following this story but I find it odd that they would follow a civil suit and not a criminal one if there was one. The Civil one will just affect her bank account whereas the criminal one will affect her entire life.

Brandy is only being sued because she is rich. People are killed everyday in car accidents. It seems the wreck was an accident. She should not be charged with a crime. If Brandy was under the influence of drugs or alcohol then I could see some one suing her.

This is totally disgusting. When Mr.Matthew Broderick had a car crash in Ireland, also killing two people, not only did he get off light (much lighter than Brandy because not only did he pay a fine of $175 [HOLY SHIT! That's alot of money! Wow!!! Poor sap!], the victim’s family did not go after a lawsuit, even forgave him and wanted to meet him in person), every email concerning this is like, “It was an accident. Why can’t we just forgive and forget? We all make mistakes, yar,yar,yar.” At the same time, Brandy gets crucified to death by the victim’s family, who wants to sue her down to her drawers (hope they don’t get a damn cent), plus by people criticizing her on these emails. Both celebs are guilty of the same thing. Besides the fact that one celeb is white with a dick and the other is black and does not have a dick, what the hell is the difference?

Everyone should just stop pointing fingers. It’s clearly visible that Brandy is still hurting emotionally from what occured that day. No money or lawsuit will bring back th life of a loved one.
My heart and prayers goes out to them all.
