Warning tabloids: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie do not like getting crossed. The British tabloid News of the World wrongly claimed in a story on January 24 that the couple was set to split. The article went on to say how their $300 million fortune would be divided up as well as custody of their six children. For the record, we here knew it was all bull, but the story set off “an avalanche of speculation” that the relationship was ending and now Brad and Angie are going to make the rumor-mongers pay.

Officially today, we can all rest assured that the tall tale was bunk. Sorrell Trope, the divorce attorney  identified widely as the divorce lawyer meeting with Brangelina, has never met them! Keith Schilling, the couple’s real lawyer, called the report “false and intrusive” and the couple has requested a retraction. Further proof, the couple were seen hugging, kissing and looking flat-out adorable at Sunday’s Superbowl game. Maddox headed over to Miami with Dad, and the whole gang was photographed leaving the game.
