“Grey’s Anatomy” star T.R. Knight confirmed to People magazine that he’s gay.

“I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I’d like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there,” Knight tells PEOPLE in a statement. “While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I’m gay isn’t the most interesting part of me.”

I usually have pretty good gaydar, but this one totally took me by surprise.

The whole “Grey’s Anatomy” scuffle involving Isaiah Washington comment, and T.R. Knight coming out of the closet, makes all more more sense now.
