WTF??? Ellen? She’s funny, she likes to dance a little before her show, but is she qualified to be a judge for American Idol? I think not. At least Paula was a dancer/singer.

Wow! I think they got this one wrong. I love Ellen and she is hilarious to watch. BUT, what singing or vocal experience does she have?

love ellen, but as an idol judge, not so much. i thought this was a serious event/show not another sit-com. so much for reality.

I dont see what the problem would be with her judging, does the veiwers not get to vote, are the veiwers trained in music????? Its not hard to judge talent!! I think of it as her judging from a point of veiw of a person who is going to be purchasing new music. I think Ellen has fairly good taste in music and if she puts some one through its because she enjoys their sound and style..if that makes sense.

-Sorry, Ellen you are a great person but your appearances on “So You Think You Can Dance” showed that when you are best to stay with what you know. I can’t help but think you thought this was a joke when they asked you. You know it is to boost ratings but it is a slap in the face to Paula et al who know the music business and actually have constructive advice as experts in their fields. It is also a decision that is an insult to the intelligent public who still had marginal faith in the judges expert opinions.
