Eviljellybean – She’s not a hillbilly per se. Though she was born in Louisiana, the Spears family is really from Mississippi. There are hills in Mississippi, but I don’t think they contribute to identity they way they do in, say Kentucky. Now Mississippi (and Louisiana) does have an abundance of trailer parks. So, while I can’t believe I want to defend hillbillies, it’s really not fair to them to lump her in with them. She’s more trailer trash than hillbilly.

what we ridicule her for, or what the paparazzi is “constantly on her shit for” are things SHE has done, and choices SHE has made. and continues to make.

she brings this on herself, and I for one feel no obligation to “be nice” to her.

Not only does she do all these tragic things to herself, she does so while knowingly in the public eye. She’s Britney effing Spears, of course paparazzi will be there and the public will be watching! She’s a big girl now, her image is her own responsibility.
