Britney didn’t help the Katrina victims actually pick out there clothes, so there was no threat of them becoming fashion victims as well. The day turned out well.
Pop star Britney Spears spent part of Mardi Gras with a group of Metairie students whose lives were upended when Hurricane Katrina devastated the area six months ago.
Standing in the French Quarter surrounded by St. Catherine of Siena School dancers wearing “Gatorettes” uniforms, Spears talked Tuesday on ABC’s “Good Morning America” of her recent “surprise” meeting with four older students from the suburban New Orleans school.
On a recent morning, the girls sat down to breakfast with City Councilman Jay Batt, thinking they were there to discuss the effects of Katrina. Then Spears walked in, greeted with squeals.
“It was awesome. I will never forget it,” said 14-year-old Lindsay Hernandez, who lived with 21 relatives and friends after her home was destroyed.
Spears took the girls shopping and to dine at one of Cajun chef Emeril Lagasse‘s restaurants for some Southern comfort food, including fried chicken and red beans and rice.
Oh Brit, we just hope that you didn’t bring along your scuzzy husband to Emril’s with the girls. They’ve suffered enough.

That was really nice of Britney, but why did she only take 4 girls? Alot of teens have been devastated by Katrina. She could’ve atleast took like 20 girls, but regardless it was still nice of her.
with her husband spending money like it’s water, 4 people is all she could take shopping.
Did anyone see her on Extra or Entertainment Tonight last night (can’t remember which it was)? She looked AWFUL!!!! Puffy face, huge bags under her eyes. They also showed some footage of her while in New Orleans and her belly looked awfully pregnant to me. I usually don’t believe the rumors, but she clearly had more than a fat pooch happening under that shirt. Let’s hope it’s just her monthly and she’s bloated. The world could do without more K-Fed spawn.

although, we could look at it this way. if history is any indication, k-fed will be leaving her in a few months, when she’s about 6 months along with their second child.
she’ll be free of the parasite, and he’ll wind up with next to nothing for walking out on her for (most likely) another woman.

i hear you twinkie eater…doubtful it was even britney’s own money, nor the goodness of her heart that she did this for. she needed some good publicity for once, i was kind of half expecting to see the next pic of her dangling her son off of the balcony above haha
i really hope she isn’t pregnant again, but then again there are only pictures of her on the balcony (???) not showing her stomach…hmmm
