Britney Spears’ Permanent Conservatorship Begins

January 7th, 2009 // 5 Comments

Back in October, Jamie Spears was granted a permanent conservatorship over his daughter Britney Spears, which started January 5, 2009. Even though Britney has complained that she feels trapped, she did not contest the October court order when it took place.

According to In Touch, Britney’s finances are controlled by her conservator because she is “unable properly to provide for his or her personal needs for physical health, food, clothing or shelter.”

In addition, Jamie also retains “the power to restrict and limit visitors by any means,” which given Britney’s most recent choice of companion, is hard to argue against.

“Permanent conservatorship” is crazy! This is usually reserved for people who are in a coma or have alzhiemers…this means Britney is incapable of handling normal day to day activities, feeding herself, etc. Yet we see her out, driving, releasing CDs, making videos, and going on TOUR. It doesn’t add up. Sure she had a meltdown and may still be mentally unstable, more than we may know. But look at her life – anyone would go insane! It happens to other people, they get better, BUT they don’t loose legal control of their lives. She’s like a puppet, bringing in cash for those who control her (including the judge, who I can only guess was paid off to make such a ruling). The farce will only last so long, and things can only come to a crashing end. Very sad.

I really REALLY hope she will not kill herself for this, or have her dad killed or something. It is so sad and unnecessary for PERMANENT conservatorship. Unbelievable, that poor young woman is trying to get better and move ahead with her life.

her ‘conservators’ should all be thrown in jail for exploitation and civil rights violations..they are obviously intimidating her into not contesting it while they fleese millions of dollars from her, damn right that rat judge is on the take!
