Britney’s Rehab Gets Subpoenaed

August 20th, 2007 // 2 Comments

Remember when Britney was popping in and out of rehab at Promises in Malibu? Well, her behavior inside the facility might come back to haunt her during her custody proceedings with Kevin Federline. A subpoena was served over the weekend to the Promises Treatment Center by K-Fed’s lawyers, in the hopes of adding to their case that Britney’s behavior continues to be irresponsible, even after her attempts to receive treatment for substance abuse. Pepperdine University law professor Steven M. Cron gave his two cents on the strategy to People magazine.

“Strategically I don’t think they are concerned with the treatment, but how she responded to that treatment,” says Cron. “Specifically, if she participated as she was supposed to. Did she have a positive attitude, did she complete it successfully. Or was she a screw up?”

Dang, e’erbody in the club getting a subpoena. I hope I get one. I mean, why not? It’s not like I’m busy. I’m just writing these things.
