Although I prefer a ball gown, I don’t hate Carey Mulligan‘s gold and silver Prada paillette dress (paired with Prada pumps) at tonight’s Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The newlywed, basking in the glory of the met ball, is co-hosting the evening.
Mulligan’s makeup artist did a fantastic job of playing up the eyes without making it look like the star was wearing too much. The ball’s darling married Marcus Mumford back in April, wearing a custom-made cream Prada gown, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Her mother and bridesmaids also wore Prada gown, reportedly in light blue.
A+, Mrs. Mumford.
