Cate Blanchett spent part of Mother’s Day filming a commercial in Portofino for SEAT’s Altea car with Elle Macpherson, Eric Dane, Jean Reno, Kevin Spacey, and Matthew Fox. With that many celebs, costume changes, and a pay incentive that kept them from their families for part of the day, this looks like one hell of an expensive commercial.

On Friday spokeswoman Cate turns to Maid Marian as Robin Hood opens in theaters. Her role made the mother cool for the first time to her three boys. “I went up in their estimation from the first night on set, when I was called on to shoot a flaming arrow, missed my mark and hit a light, which duly exploded,” the actress told the London’s Times. Even I’m not a school-aged boy and I think that’s damn cool.
They weren’t shooting anything for a car company. They were shooting in Portofino for the Swiss Watch brand IWC!
