THE OFFENSE: Ladies, gentleman, I am so sorry to tell you this, but if I see you wearing running shoes outside of a gym or a running trail, I am judging you. Walking home from the gym, fine. Walking to your car from the gym, fine. Going to a running/hiking area, fine. But in public at a restaurant or bar or show? Nope!

WHY THIS IS SO WRONG: Honestly, I don’t think there’s enough time in the world for me to list all the reasons this is wrong, so I’ll sum up. First of all, wearing running shoes out makes you look like you’re 9 and in elementary school. Second, running shoes don’t go with any outfits not involving running shorts. Australian actress Cate Blanchett turns 44-years-old today and is at the prime of her career. There is some major buzz regarding her role in Woody Allen‘s forthcoming film Blue Jasmine. People who have attended advanced screenings of the film are saying that the film is on par with Woody’s classics like Match Point and Crimes and Misdemeanors, and Cate’s performance in the film is amazing.

Gwyneth Paltrow elaborated a bit more on why she hated this year’s Met Gala during an interview (lovingly transcribed by The Cut) with two Australian radio DJ’s who had won a dinner with the actress in an auction. Here’s what she said:

“It sucked. It seems like the best thing in the world. You think,’Oh my god, it’s going to be so glamorous and amazing, and you’re going to see all these famous people.’ And then you get there, and it’s so hot, and so crowded, and everyone’s pushing you. This year it was really intense. It wasn’t fun! Kanye West was playing, and he was furious, and he threw his microphone down.”
