Victoria Beckham was in tears last night as her clothing label won Designer Brand of The Year at the British Fashion Awards. When handed the trophy by designer pal Marc Jacobs, shy Posh covered her face and said: “I am so nervous.”

She then gave a tearful, heart-felt speech in which she thanked her supporters. She said: “I would like to thank the British fashion industry for your support, I’d like to thank my team, you all know who you are, your focus, your creativity…. Simon Fuller…..my parents, my kids and my husband. Without him I wouldn’t have had the courage to do what I am doing.” She had to pause several times as she was clearly overcome with emotion.

The British Fashion Council honored Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen as Designer of the Year for 2011. Burton drew praise for designing Kate Middleton‘s much-heralded wedding dress.

The council said Burton has “allowed McQueen’s legacy to live on while still giving her own twist of creative genius to a collection that has outshone its rivals on and off the catwalk.”

His sultry good looks are exactly what world famous photographer Bruce Weber was looking for at Abercrombie & Fitch. Modeling for A&F might not be the highest-end job for a model, but it’s helped launched many careers. Such is the case with Taylor.

Boyfriend of the year, Ryan Gosling, surprised his girlfriend of just a couple months, Eva Mendes, over the weekend by flying out to Paris to visit her after she wrapped Holly Motors. Us Weekly has the scoop from some insiders who claim “Ryan flew out to be with Eva as soon as she wrapped Holly Motors” and of the visit, Eva “was totally shocked!” How cute is that, the two could not stand being apart from each other.

Mendes ditched the Amy Winehouse style she rocked for the film, and was looking casual and comfy in green skinny jeans paired with a grey sweater top, beige coat, and grey boots. Of course, Ryan Gosling is the perfect accessory for any outfit. Even though he didn’t win People‘s Sexiest Man Alive title despite George Clooney‘s efforts otherwise, Gosling doesn’t look too disappointed. However, Gosling was wearing a bandage over his right hand so maybe he and Bradley Cooper settled their Sexiest Man Alive feud the good old fashioned way, with a rumble!

Eva looked totally smitten and in love as she and Ryan strolled arm and arm through Pere Lachaise cemetery like tourists. Ryan even stopped to snap a few pictures of the monuments with his iPhone. Goulart once said “the hardest part about being an Angel is I spend time away from my mom’s food and away from my home with my five brothers and sister.”
