Details of just how extremely ill Amanda Bynes really is, and it is really quite astonishing that she didn’t actually hurt herself or someone else earlier.
Amanda Bynes’ parents are hoping to get a conservatorship for their troubled daughter today. The 27-year-old actress’ estranged parents, Rick and Lynn, are hoping to secure the court order, which if permitted would grant legal control of her personal and financial affairs until she gets her life back on track, and have arranged a hearing at Ventura County Courthouse in Oxnard, California.
A judge on Thursday granted the family’s request to have the 27-year-old starlet’s temporary psychiatric hold extended for up to two weeks, E! News confirms. Read More »
Here’s hoping that things are finally gonna start looking up for Amanda Bynes.
After a very difficult weekend that saw Amanda start a small fire and get hospitalized by police on a 5150 hold, Amanda’s parents are finally looking to get into the former child actress’ life.
According to E! News, Amanda’s parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes, “will be in court Friday morning to ask that a temporary conservatorship be established to give them control over their daughter’s financial and personal affairs.” Well this seems like a great idea. Read More »
Just when you thought things couldn’t get even more weird, they do. Things are looking as if Amanda Bynes is truly suffering from sort of mental breakdown or disorder.
More and more disturbing details of the bizarre incident that ended with Amanda hospitalized and held under 5150 psychiatric hold are emerging.
Bynes, as you’ve likely heard by now, started a fire with gasoline in a stranger’s driveway in her SoCal hometown, leading a passerby to call 911 on her.
Well, it turns out she drenched her Pomeranian with gasoline while building the fire … then raced to a nearby liquor store to clean the dog off. Read More »

Power couple Beyonce and Jay Z rallied amongst others in New York City on July 20, 2013, protesting the jury’s final decision in the Zimmerman vs. Martin case.
They wanted to make it clear, it was not a photo op. Jay Z has been a full supporter of Martin.

President Barack Obama held a impromptu press conference in the briefing room to share his thoughts about the death of Trayvon Martin and the not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman trial. (This is on top of the brief statement he released earlier this week.)
For nearly 17 minutes, the President gave what I would call an extraordinary and unprecedented speech that touched on the verdict itself, the need to review Stand Your Ground laws, and what it’s like to be a black boy/man in America, going one step further than he has in the past by saying, “Trayvon Martin could have been me.” I am so glad to see our President address this in such a thoughtful, nuanced way, especially given how many people would like to believe that his Presidency is indicative that we live in a “post-racial” world.

Ugh, this is a complicated story and it’s one of the rare times when I can actually see that both sides have some sort of legal leg to stand on. The backstory: Jason Patric fathered a child with a girlfriend/friend named Danielle Schreiber. The child was conceived via Jason’s “sperm donation” – meaning that the child was not conceived with the p-in-the-v, although Jason and Danielle did have an on-and-off sexual and romantic relationship for several years.
When Jason “donated” his sperm, he said flat-out that he wasn’t interested in fatherhood, and that he wanted no part in the child’s life. Danielle gave birth to son Gus, and Jason eventually wanted to spend time with Gus. Danielle let Jason spend some time with Gus here and there, but Jason wanted more time, and more rights as a parent. Danielle was all “whoa now, you said you didn’t want that” and now they’re fighting about it in court.
