Kate Middleton Presents AT BBC Event Looking Divine In McQueen [PHOTOS]

December 16th, 2012 // Leave a Comment

Good on her!   The Duchess of Cambridge, still feeling a bit wobbly due to acute morning sickness, insisted on sticking to a commitment tonight that topped out a summer she won’t soon forget.

As Team GB’s ambassador, Catherine put on a brave face for BBC’s Sports Personality of The Year Awards tonight in London.  Though she said not a word while presenting, all eyes were on the DoC as she chatted with David Beckham and other athletes on stage.

Her Royal Highness wore Alexander McQueen‘s Bell Sleeve floor-length gown in bottle green, according to What Kate Wore, which contrasted marvelously against her trademark locks.  My friend Anna confirmed that Catherine wore the same Kiki McDonough drop earrings we saw throughout HRH’s more formal appearances this summer.

Photos of Catherine were quite hard to come by from tonight’s event, so I took the liberty of sharing Twitpics taken by Sky News royal reporter Paul HarrisonRead More »

Once is never enough for HRH

I think Her Royal Highness deserves a round of seal claps for showing the impressionable young whipper snappers that re-wearing a great ensemble is not a fashion faux pas.

“Dust off your prom dress!” was the message that resonated with us last month, when Catherine wore that fabulous Alice Temperley lace gown to a St. Andrew’s dinner.

And that painted Jenny Packham dress Catherine sported at a Santa Barbara charity polo match in July 2011?  Psssh, why not wear that again?  Read More »

By Order Of The Queen: Get One's 3-D Glasses Out

It’s almost Christmas, and the time has come to look back on some of the greatness that occurred this year in Windsorville.

Let’s get down to brass tacks, shall we?

First off, let’s all continue to keep Catherine and her lil baby in our thoughts as she trucks through the dreadful morning sickness that put her in hospital a few weeks back.  St. James’s Palace will not keep the public updated on her condition, as Hyperemesis Gravidarium can last long into the pregnancy.

While Her Royal Highness is convalescing, we look back on her great wardrobe repeats, from Roksanda Ilincic to Alexander McQueen and back again to Mulberry.

Pray tell, what was your favorite “Second Time Around” look of Catherine’s?

Guess what!  Her Majesty‘s traditional Christmas Message will be broadcast in 3-D this year!  However, this only means exciting things for those whose televisions are 3-D ready.  For the rest of us, just sit back and watch as the Queen looks back fondly on a year that went off without a hitch.  Yanks can tune into the broadcast via BBC America Christmas Day.  Read More »

John Mayer Takes Katy Perry And Her Ugly Christmas Sweater On A Date [PHOTOS]

Attention everyone!  It appears Katy Perry and John Mayer have restarted their relationship just in time for the holidays.  Last night (December 12th), the on-again couple joined Mayer’s father at Sardi’s for a bite before heading over to the Lunt-Fontanne Theater for a performance of A Christmas Story.

After the show, Perry and Mayer took photos with composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and the younger members of the cast, still in costume.

I won’t even bother to ask where Perry got that sweater.  Would it kill her to wear something decent? Read More »

Camilla Hosts Clarence House Lunch

All joking aside, the Duchess of Cornwall is quite charitable.  Today (December 12th) Her Royal Highness invited children supported by Helen & Douglas House hospice and The London Taxidrivers Fund for Underprivileged Children for lunch and Christmas tree decorating at Clarence House in London.

Inside, Camilla helped a youngster put ornaments on the tree before everyone tucked into bangers-and-mash.  The children arrived at the palace in festive cabs, with parents describing the day as “magical.”

Since becoming a patron of the hospice in 2007, Camilla has been inviting the terminally ill children to Clarence House annually.

Earlier in the day, Her Royal Highness paid a visit to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home with her own rescue dogs, Beth and Bluebell.

Prince William At ‘The Hobbit’ Premiere: ‘ Kate Would Have Loved To Have Been Here’ [PHOTOS]

Though his pregnant wife stayed at home in KP to rest, Prince William attended the royal performance of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey tonight at Odeon Leicester Square.

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, Catherine is pregnant with the couple’s first child, and is currently suffering from acute morning sickness.

“Kate would have loved to have been here,” William was overheard saying, according to the Daily Mail‘s Rebecca English.

The Duke met with cast and crew inside the theater, including Sir Peter Jackson, whom he congratulated on the film. Read More »

Whether or not we can label the infamous radio hoax that left nurse Jacintha Saldanha dead an act of bullying, there is no doubt that the Duchess of Cambridge was affected by what happened on December 7th.

The Daily Mail‘s Richard Kay recently spoke to shoe designer Zoe Lee, who attended Marlborough College with the former Kate Middleton.

Her Royal Highness transferred after two difficult terms at Downe House, where she was teased and tormented by fellow classmates.

This, of course, was a shock to the student after having spent six happy years at St. Andrews.  An anti-bullying organization was one of the charities selected by Catherine to receive donations in lieu of wedding gifts.

“I know she has got a reputation as a diplomat but Kate didn’t mind sticking her neck out for my brother Nathan, who was small for his age, when we were at school together,” Lee told Kay at the opening of Alice Temperley‘s flagship store in London.  Read More »

Prince William Opens Up About Kate’s Morning Sickness [PHOTOS]

A solo Prince William attended Centrepoint‘s Winter Whites Gala at Royal Albert Hall tonight in London, an organization which the Duke has been a patron of for some time.

Visibly absent from the gala was the Duchess of Cambridge, who is resting at the couple’s Kensington Palace apartment after a stay at King Edward VII hospital.

After days of silence following the announcement that he and Catherine are expecting their first child, William opened up to Michael Higgins, Centrepoint’s former chairman.  Read More »
