Alan Gendreau

He’s dreamy too.

Progressive cultural change doesn’t always happen quickly, but when it does, it’s a beautiful thing. Take the National Football League, professional football’s bastion and, up until now, a rather conservative place. That may all change now that Alan Gandreau, a kicker from Middle Tennessee State University, has become a viable NFL prospect.

Gendreau, who is the top scorer in his school’s conference, came out at an early age and dated boys in high school. “When you know, you know,” he told OutSports.com.

Prince Harry Pays Tribute To Boston Bombing Victims At London Marathon [PHOTOS]

April 21st, 2013 // Leave a Comment

Prince Harry attended the first major marathon since the tragic bombings at this year’s Boston Marathon early last week.

A seemingly relaxed Prince Harry presented awards to the wheelchair racers and mingled with spectators at today’s Virgin London Marathon.

“It’s fantastic, typically British,” he told the BBC. “People are saying they haven’t seen crowds like this for eight years around the route. It’s remarkable to see.”

He said it was “never an option” for him to cancel his appearance following the Boston bombings. He went on, “certainly everyone that was planning on coming is still here, no one’s changed any plans – the volunteers, the security, everyone is here, nothing’s changed. It was always going to be really well run and it always is, typically the British way the London marathon has been running for years.”  Read More »

David Beckham Brings The Kids To Soccer Practice, Adorableness Ensues [PHOTOS]

April 19th, 2013 // Leave a Comment

One of the coolest parts about having David Beckham as a dad has got to be the free soccer tips!

We’re sure that David was doling them out today as all the Beckham kids joined David at practice in Paris. While Harper didn’t look to be having too much fun–she would probably rather be brunching with mommy–the boys seemed to be having a grand ole’ time.

Brooklyn is slowly becoming my favorite Beckham. He seems so in charge of everything that’s going on. Plus, he and Harper still kill me with their cuteness. Love them. Romeo and Cruz are pretty adorable as well. Although Cruz looks have been truly upset by something.  Read More »

Commending the first responders, marathon runners and those at the scene and around the city of Boston who rose to the occasion and offered their assistance in the wake of the bombings, Mr. Obama on Tuesday offered as both a comforting hand to those shaken by the tragedy as well as a cautioning resolution to the threatening ethereal: “If you want to know who we are, what America is, how we respond to evil, that’s it -selflessly, compassionately, unafraid.”

“Every one of us has been touched by this attack on this beloved city. It is our beloved city too,” he saidRead More »

28-year-old Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, as proven by the promo for his latest career venture, but the man sure does love the ladies. Recently, he admitted his admiration for Kim Kardashian and wants to follow her lead. Lochte has even trademarked his famous catchphrase, “Jeah” and plans on using it copiously throughout his reality television series on E! network.

According to Swim Swam, after the show airs on April 21st Lochte is relocating to California in August for swim training and to be closer to the entertainment industry. Seen here, Ryan Lochte smiles wide at the LAX Airport in Los Angeles on April 17th. Matt Damon’s Poignant Boston Marathon Essay

April 17th, 2013 // Leave a Comment
Matt Damon

A Boston University graduate student was identified today as the third person to die from the terrorist bombing at the Boston marathon. The two other fatalities from the attack were identified earlier today as a boy and a young woman. More than 170 were indued in the terrorist attack.

As we try and wrap out head around this horrific attack (FYI TV new media, I don’t need to see video of the bombs going off on a loop), reflections of what an amazing event the Boston marathon is and represents are being shared.

An essay Matt Damon wrote about the Boston Marathon last month (March 13, 2013) has taken on a new poignancy following the bombing horror at the famed Massachusetts race on Monday.

Here is an excerpt of the essay… Read More »
