When they’re not being sued by Dan Rather, or dealing with the controversy over possible child exploitation and endangerment caused by its show, “Kid Nation,” CBS sure does know how to party, as is evidenced by these pictures of many of its stars at one of its shindigs Monday night. But back to the “Kid Nation” stuff first. The reality series has children living in a “Kid Nation,” running their little town just north of Santa Fe, NM without the aid of adults. Allegations have been made that child-protection laws have been very loosely interpreted and concern over the welfare of the children involved in the project have been raised. From The ShowBuzz:

“I think I’m gonna die out here ‘cuz there’s nothing,” one 8-year-old frets as “Kid Nation” gets the party started.

“There’s no President Bush. There’s nothing,” observes another dispirited youngster.

This so sounds like what “The Simple Life” should have been for Paris and Nicole. But let’s not get too wrapped up in all this “Kid Nation” business, because there are pictures to peruse! Allyson Hannigan is looking very Pussycat Doll-ish with her blunt bangs, but I think that I like it. I’m not sure yet, because I tend to resist any and all change. Doogie’s so serious. Maybe he’s concerned about “Kid Nation.” Dammit, I told him to stop worrying and enjoy the party. He’s such a worry-wart.
