With all due respect to everyone: the man was the worst kind of predator. He lured underprivileged children to his home and molested them. He paid off the families by settling his civil suits.

Fortunately, for a host of reasons, the standard of evidentiary proof in a criminal case is “beyond a reasonable doubt.” Being found “not guilty” is not the same as being found “innocent.” Unfortunately, the prosecution was unable to meet theis substantial evidentiary burden.

If he truly did not do it, why did he settle the civil suits against him for millions of dollars? It’s because the evidentiary is burden in a civil action is 51%.

    Feel better now, no name?

  3. Jessica | June 25, 2009 at 9:36 pm

With all due respect anonymous, your opinion is nothing but lies built upon the media hype you were fed. Children can be made to think they were “molested” very easily by money hungry or as you said the underprivileged. How many times have children said they were scared into admitting lies and making up things by police and parents? Michael was an easy target because of over the top lifestyle which many could not even try to understand.

Michael Jackson is being remembered for his mark on the music world not for the crime he was found not guilty of twice. Pray for his children! I hope to God they are strong enough to brush off the venom spit by those looking to hurt their fathers name.

  4. anne22 | June 25, 2009 at 10:27 pm

You are truly disgusting. Exactly what Jessica said, children can be led to believe almost anything-especially when they have money hungry parents feeding them lies.
He was an easy target because he was different and overly generous.
This man should be remembered today as the amazing and talented performer he was who changed music forever.

  12. T-Bone | June 26, 2009 at 8:28 am

Yes, Michael Jackson may very well have been a predator. In addition, we may hear even worse things about him now that he’s gone. But I choose to believe that we all fall short as human beings. None of us is “without sin”, and each and every one of us is going to have to answer for something. In addition, we have no idea how he suffered as a child or what path he walked. RIP Michael.

  13. Denise | June 26, 2009 at 10:33 am

    Reality and No Name,

You are absolutely appalling – may your souls (assuming you have one) never be at peace. Who the hell do you think you are? You’re far from perfect

    Disgusting!

  14. tabatha | June 26, 2009 at 11:13 am

you know no name that been found not guilty is the same as being innocent b/c he didnt do it and if your so sure he did y dont you use your name? micheal was accused of being a pedophile twice and both accusations came right after he released new albums so that should tell you right there that the families were just after his money and i think that its sickening that ppl destroyed this mans rep for money he is truly the king of pop and he has done so much good in this world that it by far cancels out any negative things that he was accused of he is going to be greatly miss and i myself am crying for him and i cry for you who believe the slander remember what they say believe half of what you see and none of what you hear

  15. Nada | June 26, 2009 at 11:17 am

I AM VERY SAD I FEEL LIKE I LOST A MEMBER OF MY FAMILY, I’M JUST 32 YEARS OLD BUT I GROW UP TO HIS MUSIC.
I JUST WISH THAT NOW THEY WILL LEAVE HIM ALONE AND I WANT THE “BIG MONTH ,GOSSIPING LOOSERS, AND THE BAD MEDIA” LEARN A LESSON FROM THIS EVENT. BECAUSE OF THE STRESS THEY PUT ON HIM HE END UP LIKE THIS. PLEASE STOP CREATING STORIES TO SELL PAPER AND LOOK IT WHAT U DONE. PLEASE TO ALL PEOPLE MENTIONED ABOVE LEAVE HIM REST IN PEACE.
M.J WAS A SON, A DAD, A BROTHER AND AN IDOLE.
MY PRAYERS GOES TO HIS FAMILY AND TO HIS REAL FANS, MY GOD BLESS U .
    THE KING AND ONLY M.J
    I LOVE YOU

  16. To Catch a preditor | June 26, 2009 at 12:10 pm

Anyone that messes around with kids should not be able to rest in peace. that is only my opinion..which I am entitled to, as you are entitled to yours.

I appreciate his music more now that he is dead..Art is always worth more when the artist is dead. Jackson was a great at being an artist..but when it comes to being a man…he was the worst kind. I won’t miss him..I will laugh at TV specials that will paint him as a great person. He is a product of living in a screwed up enviornment and doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted…and not having anyone to tell him “NO!”

Burn in Hell Micheal! “If you believe in that sort of thing”

  17. Jane | June 26, 2009 at 4:28 pm

Amazing that people forget what a freak this man was. I agree with the first poster he was a menace who got away with his crime because he had money. All of these celebrities feel that whatever talent they have gives them carte blanche to do whatever they please. Michael was a sick fuck. Now he’s a dead sick fuck no better than any other predator.

  18. KELLY | June 26, 2009 at 6:09 pm

I LOVE YOU MICHAEL! NO MATTER WAT NO ONE SAYS! TODAY WE SAY GOODBYB TO A LEGEND! RIP YOUR MEMORIES WILL REMAIN IN ALL OF US THAT TRULY KNEW YOU! AND FUCK ALL YALL WHO HAS SOMETHING NEG. TO SAY ABOUT MICHAEL HE DIDN’T DO NONE OF THAT. THAT’S JUST THEM WHITE PEOPLE BLAMING HIM TO GET HIS DAMN MONEY!!!

  19. ME | June 26, 2009 at 6:09 pm

To the very first comment – what kind of parent settles out of court if a man really did sexually assualt their child. Wouldnt you want them dead or in jail. So it obvious they only wanted the money. otherwise they wouldnt have settled. HE only settled cause he knew it would do him more damage than good.
And the other case, the the mother couldnt even get her story right. So yeah beyond a reasonble doubt he was innocent. HE was a child himself and didnt see they harm in showing kids who were underprivledged love. Unfort he was an easy target and people took advanatge of that. May he rest in peace. NOW WHY DONT YOU JUST LEAVE HIM ALONE!

  20. cheri | June 26, 2009 at 11:55 pm

He was a 50 year old man, and there is nothing normal about sleeping with children especially children that are not your own. This is in response to Michael Jackson’s own admission that the children slept in the same bed with him. I am not his judge if he is guilty he will meet the great judge. I hope he is performing for all of heaven. He will be missed.

Seriously, Jackson 5 was great and fun. All his solo work is not really good for people, especially the videos. His solo work was avant-garde, and not really popular music. It was definitely successful. However, he should have never tried the cosmetic surgery and skin treatments that became really hard to look at and watch. His cases and media moments were disturbing and painful. I don’t think he died a very happy or fulfilled person at all. I think he did more to frighten people, and is not a true celebrity. Very 80s though.

  22. SCRUFYY | June 27, 2009 at 4:00 am

sick perverted pedophile pig is DEAD! GOOD!

  23. The freak is dead good riddance | June 27, 2009 at 6:34 pm

Funny, black people defending Michael and he did everything in his power to eradicate his blackness because he hated the fact that he was black. As a black woman he offends me on every level and to the ass wipe who blames white people for wanting his money, remember Michael only socialized with white people.

  24. I h8 u | June 27, 2009 at 9:11 pm

I am so happy that white fuk Elvis died b4 him.

  25. Honest Abe | June 28, 2009 at 3:18 pm

OP says being found not guilty is not being innocent…incorrect…’innocent until proven guilty.’ But you’re talking reality right? I’m not a big Pop or MJ fan, but with all the news over his death, I got to thinking about it. Sure I was as cynical as everyone else about the allegations at the time, but really how come not one person who was supposedly abused by MJ has come forward, EVER?? I mean by now, some of them are in their thirties and have free will, despite whatever financial agreements their opportunistic parents made?? Not one??
If anything MJ was really naive and stupid in having kids that close to him, but when 0 (zero) is the number of alleged victims that said anything about him while (most importantly) HE WAS ALIVE and 2 not guilty verdicts, I’m going to put my own cynicism aside and look at what he did positively in his life. He’s given more money and support to charities and people than entire countries have. Everyone has a talent but most don’t know how to use them for success. This guy used his talent to become the biggest star in the world.
So, all I’m saying is, you can talk sh#t about somebody who’s dead based on allegations that have never been backed up by anyone making them or you can say, “hey, here’s someone that did a lot for the world because he had the opportunity and the heart to do it.” So this is my only tribute to MJ on this obscure little blog with now 25 posts.

  26. Catalena | June 29, 2009 at 8:00 am

For your info I am defending Michael and I’m not black. To the person who wrote about what kind of parent would settle if it were true I 100% agree with you. Michael was a lost soul looking for the love of a childhood he so longed for. To all you Michael haters how can you judge someone without walking in his shoes. He not only was the most talented musician ever but he had a giving heart of gold. He was and always will be to me that beautiful talented boy I saw so many years ago.

    I love you Michael, RIP

  27. Missy | April 12, 2010 at 11:18 pm

Michael was innocent those kids lied and it was prove those were scams to get money! Even the FBI who trialed him for 17yrs found nothing! Stop believing the media lies!
