Singing phenomenon Celine Dion is reportedly trying for another baby.  She and her husband/manager already have one son, Rene-Charles, who came along 8 years ago, and now with the help of modern medicine, they are trying for baby number two.

According to Dion, the process has had it’s ups and downs, and claims, “people that go through in-vitro (fertilization) know how much it takes and it demands.”  She in fact miscarried once already in the process, and stated, “we were [pregnant], it was positive… for about four or five days later… it was not staying.”  C’est dommage.

Even with the setback, Dion remains positive: “So it happens you know, in life in general, people who are not on TV, and newspapers, they go through this all the time and most of the time would not even know that they were pregnant…  We have a wonderful child, we’re extremely happy. It’s not like, ‘Oh my god, she’s not pregnant and she’s depressed….’ We are great. We hope for the best, we hope to get pregnant. If it happens, it happens.”  Fair enough.

As the youngest of fourteen children, I’m sure Dion’s idea of having kids involved more than her only child, but then again, with gazillions in the bank and the dream career with a cherry on top, life’s still pretty great with only one Rene Junior running about.  Those NY docs better keep at it, though, who knows how long Rene Senior still has it in him…
