While Robert Pattinson might have earned the distinction of being Vanity Fair‘s Most Handsome Man this year, it’s Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford who is the most coveted.

People magazine named the future Footloose star as this summer’s hottest bachelor with his smiling, scruffy face gracing the most recent cover of the mag.

In his interview, the 23-year-old told the story of his reaction to hearing rumors that he and co-star Ed Westwick are gay. “Ed goes, ‘Oh, did you hear that rumor about us being gay?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, man.’ He starts laughing and we’re kind of like, ‘Okay, you want to go play pool and have a beer?’ “

Now, where would people ever get a silly idea like that?
