Charlie Sheen’s Christmas Assault Arrest, Wife Recants Shove Complaint

December 26th, 2009 // Leave a Comment

Charlie Sheen sure knows how to pick ‘em. Here’s the rundown of what has happened in the last 24 hours or so.

Charlie Sheen was arrested for felony second degree assault, felony menacing and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. Cops say all three charges are “coupled with a domestic violence component” involving his wife Brooke Mueller which occurred Christmas morning.

Sheen, 44, posted an $8,500 bond Friday evening, and was released from jail at 7 p.m. The actor is due in court next on Feb. 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.

Now here’s the fun part. Sheen has told authorities that his wife was the aggressor and he was fending her off.

Apparently Brooke was legally drunk when she called 911 and revealed that her allegation was phony. Sources say authorities gave both Charlie and Brooke blood alcohol tests. Brooke registered a .13 while Charlie registered a .04. By the way, the 911 call came in at 8:34 AM on Christmas day.

We’re also told Brooke recanted her story to a female officer just before the bail hearing, telling the cop she was drunk when she made the 911 call. Nevertheless, law enforcement sources say police will still pursue the case — at least for now.

And now Mueller is not longer cooperating with the police. Well, if this is how the Sheen’s celebrate Christmas, I’m looking forward to hearing about their New Year’s Eve plans.
