The magnificent winery Château Rauzan-Ségla, founded in 1661 by Pierre de Rauzan and situated in the village of Margaux, France (northwest of Bordeaux) was purchased by Chanel in 1994 (yes, Chanel owns a winery). The French luxury house, which restored the historical property, has called on Karl Lagerfeld to design a truly unique label for its 2009 Grand Cru Classe vintage.
To celebrate both the collaboration with Lagerfeld and the vineyard’s 350th anniversary, fine winemakers everywhere will launch sales of the bottle ($129) in March. However, the vintage is currently available for pre-order.
I hope it tastes of berries, chocolate and quilted 2.55 bags.
