Cher was moved to tears as she watched her son Chaz Bono perform on Dancing With the Stars last night (October 10).

The transgender star has been competing with professional dancer Lacey Schwimmer, and on Monday, they performed a high-octane routine to the theme music from boxing movie Rocky.

The performance was especially important to Bono as he had his family in the audience, including his superstar mother, grandmother Georgia Holt and stepmother Mary Bono Mack, who was married to his late father Sonny Bono.

After judge Carrie Ann Inaba revealed she was moved to tears during the performance, the singer also grew teary-eyed, before giving her son a standing ovation. Check out her tweet and video of her appearance…

Cher took to Twitter.com after the show, writing, “OMG! (Oh my God!) I was crying! Wasn’t expecting 2 b (to be) so nervous! Broke my bracelet clapping! I’m so proud!! Chaz was great!”
