Oh Chris, you fail to take a bad photograph! Outtakes from Chris Hemsworth’s photo shoot for Empire magazine have surfaced.
When it was announced that J.J. Abrams was rebooting the Star Trek movie, many people were a bit skeptical about how it would turn out, but J.J. did such a fantastic job, that he is preparing to release the sequel Star Trek Into Darkness. The first Star Trek movie was the Hollywood debut of Thor star Chris Hemsworth who had a small role as George Kirk.
Now, The Fighter actor Mark Wahlberg has claimed that he had the chance to appear in Star Trek. Mark says that J.J. Abrams wanted him to play the role of George Kirk but he had to turn down the role, much to his regret now, as he did not understand the script.
Wahlberg told Total Film, “I remember [J.J. Abrams] asking me to play Captain Kirk’s father in Star Trek. I tried to read the script, but I couldn’t even—I didn’t understand the words or dialogue or anything, and I said, ‘I couldn’t do this. I think you’re really talented but I couldn’t do it.’ Then I saw the movie and I was like, ‘Holy shit, he did a great job.’”
Oh Mark. You silly man.
