Chris Brown and Wrigley gum are no more. Reuters confirms that the gum company decided to end a commercial deal it had with Chris after charges that he assaulted former girlfriend Rihanna.
Chris had a whole advertising campaign going with Wrigley to be the spokesperson for Doublemint gum and his song “Forever” was set to be part of the campaign. After Chris was arrested in February following the attack Wrigley suspended the commercial until the legal matters were “resolved.”
Looks like Wrigley is the one who resolved it. Guess that apology video meant nothing to them. So, in addition to the five years of probation and 180 days of community service, Chris will not be making money off of gum. He was due to be sentenced yesterday, but the judge postponed it to make sure that his community service would include hard labor.
See everyone, this is why you shouldn’t assault other people. It only leads to trouble. Good luck Chris. I’m gonna go get some gum. Doublemint anyone?
