Chris Pine Preps For His Theater Gig

May 27th, 2009 // 3 Comments

Now that he’s boldly gone where no man has gone before, Chris Pine is prepped to conquer the theater. The Star Trek star is set to star in a Los Angeles production of Farragut North at the Geffen Playhouse.

The young actor will star opposite Sex and the City‘s Chris Noth in the play that is billed as displaying “quick-witted banter and an inside look into the world of politics” and has already accumulated critical accolades during its New York run.

West Coast interest in the production has expanded into the film realm, with Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney planning to produce a feature with Warner Bros. Who knows? If Chris plays his cards right, he might just find himself cast in the decidedly more terrestrial role.
