In his interview with GQ magazine, Terminator Salvation star Christian Bale definitely comes off as a man of few words. Kicking off the chat with mostly monosyllabic answers, Bale seems to preparing himself for the inevitable questions.
When the subject turns to “the Rant,” the interviewer asks Bale if the intensity of his commitment to playing John Connor was the reason behind the actor’s infamous outburst, he agrees.
“And it wouldn’t have happened if we hadn’t been playing that scene, for Christ’s sake, between John Connor and his wife, which is probably the most intense one in the movie,” Bale explains.
He adds, “I’d definitely say that that guy who was yelling was at least half John Connor, and the rest was Christian Bale.” And then he slit the interviewer’s throat. Kidding! But you can tell he wanted to.
