Before it could get too Desperate Housewives up in the courthouse, Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook ended a week of divorce proceedings with a settlement that has left both couples as satisfied as can be expected.

Christie said that she was “happy” with the result, in which she was given full custody over the couple’s children, as well as control over the 18 properties in question. Cook was content with the outcome, saying of his $2.1 million payment and parenting time with his children, “It’s everything I wanted.”

The trial had initially been scheduled to last four weeks, but it looks like everybody finally got genteel up in this piece and decided to settle. These people have already wasted precious summering time that could have better been spent at the Hamptons. Too many white parties have already been missed, dammit!
