Always one for the costumes, Christina Aguilera opted instead for a more traditional glamorous look for the red carpet at the well-rehearsed American Music Awards Sunday night.

Curling her blond locks, X-tina donned a long, silver, sparkly gown and looked more Old Hollywood than tendy pop star. Perhaps hoping to remind people that she isn’t, in fact, Lady Gaga.

Regardless of why she chose the outfit she did, it did appear from this look that she does keep getting better.
