Following in the footsteps of fellow pop star Beyonce Knowles, Christina Aguilera is planning to make her live action feature film debut in a splashy musical entitled Burlesque. The petite blond vixen with the crimson red lips will star in the picture, which was written with Aguilera in mind.

According to Variety, “Aguilera will play an ambitious smalltown girl with a big voice who finds love, family and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club that appears to be right out of Bob Fosse‘s Cabaret.”

Yay! Can’t wait for her to kick up those sexy bow-legs of hers on stage! This could either end up a smash success, or a huge mess–either way, I will be wholly entertained.
