The “American Idol” star has joined the ranks of celebrities who have been involved in a disturbance on board an airplane flight. It’s like a rite of passage for stars, like getting featured in either Star’s Best of Worst Beach Bodies issue. On Saturday, Clay was involved in a minor scuffle on board a Continental Airlines flight to Tulsa International Airport.
FBI Special Agent Gary Johnson said there was a dispute between a male passenger and a woman on the flight but could not confirm the passenger was Aiken. He said the dispute was over the male passenger’s foot resting on the woman’s armrest. He said there was an allegation the woman gave the male passenger a “minor shove” during the argument.
It was at this juncture during the commotion that the crew was able to intervene and diffuse the situation and no arrests were made as a result. Later that day, at his performance at the Brady Theater in Tulsa, Clay joked that he had been “beaten up by a girl earlier that day,” according to Yahoo! News. Oddly enough, the female passenger involved in the fracas was heard making that same exact joke all weekend long. Totally kidding, Claymates. Now, I’m going to continue talking in a soothing voice until you move the hot-glue guns away from my eyeballs.
