To promote their new album Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, Coldplay recently gave a gratis performance for New Yorkers at Madison Square Garden. Tickets for the gig were given away on the band’s website, much to the excitement of ardent fans.
According to the New York Times, Coldplay’s latest looks as if it’s going to be the No. 1 album in the U.S. this week. I’m not a huge Coldplay fan or anything, but it seems cool that they gave away free tickets. Although these days, people will do just about anything to try and drum up some album sales.
