Stories like this make country music so much more appealing. Mindy McCready was busted (and Maced for acting the fool) after a drunken brawl at her Mom’s house this past weekend. McCready, if you’ll recall, has spent the last several years in repeated legal trouble involving pills and booze. This bust violated the probation that this chick was already on, so they had to arrest her. At an airport! Coming off a plane!
McCready had just flown into Nashville International Airport via Southwest Airlines Wednesday when sheriff’s deputies took her into custody. She was booked at Williamson County Jail at about 5:10 p.m. ET and is being held without bail, according to the Tennessean newspaper.
Deputy District Attorney Derek Smith told the Tennessean that the “Guys Do It All the Time” singer violated her probation on a 2004 drug charge by getting arrested in Florida, as well as by failing to report her latest arrest to her probation officer and by engaging in “assaultive behavior.”
Mindy was a pain in the ass, and ended up with a broken nose and various bruises during the previous arrest last weekend. She could face up to three years in jail if convicted. This would be such a hot concept album when she gets through the pain. If she sobers up and turns it into shitkicker art, it could make millions.

Suggestions for the first single? How about “You Broke My Heart, Then You Busted My Nose.”
Former country star – maybe. She had one gold album 11 yrs ago.
Iffen you git shit-faced and start whuppin’ on anyone what looks at you cross-eyed while yer at yore momma’s house doin’ probation time for poppin’ pills after not havin’ a hit reckerd fer more years’n anyone I know c’n count an’ git yoreself arrested at Nashville airport ‘fore gettin’ on a Southwest flight…
You jist might be a redneck!
Mindy is a very troubled (mentally) individual. She refuses to accept any blame for her actions; according to her account of all events she has been negatively involved in, it’s always someone else’s fault. Up until now she’s gotten out of all the trouble with just a slap on the hand. She’s used and mistreated many people and hasn’t thought twice about doing so. This time, the Williamson County Judge needs to send a clear message to Mindy that you cannot do these sorts of things and continue to get away with it. It’s time for the Judge to penalize Mindy to the fullest extent available to him under the law! Now she sits in the Williamson County jail once again and I’m curious as to what has happened to her young son, Zander. He’s the real loser in this whole situation. Unfortunately, he is the one that will suffer from having Mindy as his mother for many years to come. If the father, Billy McKnight, had any decency, he would step in and petition the court for custody of his son. Perhaps that wouldn’t be much better, but what about his family…where are they in regards to their grandson? I guess it’s true that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
