Courteney Cox will make her television directorial debut on an upcoming episode of Cougar Town, the ABC sitcom she both stars in and produces.  A source from the network confirmed this news to The Hollywood Reporter, which will happen when Cougar Town returns in the midseason.

Before that, Cox will guest star on former co-star Lisa Kudrow‘s Showtime series, Web Therapy in September.

Yesterday Cox appeared to have jumped right into her new role, taking charge on the set in Los Angeles.  Co-star Busy Phillips stole the show though, in a polka dot top, yellow shirt and orange pumps (complete with an ankle monitor).
