Courteney Cox is a cougar. And doesn’t just play one on TV. She talked to People magazine and told them that she was proud of her cougar status. Courteney, 45, has been married to actor David Arquette, 37, for the past 10 years, and the cougar thing they’ve got going just works for her.

“I am a cougar, I don’t take offence to the word – David’s much younger than me and he loves older women, I mean, why not date someone younger if you can?” Her new show Cougar Town will showcase these relationships so I’m kinda excited to see all the young hot men that her character will be banging.

David on the other hand isn’t too sure about the whole cougar, May to September romance the two have going on. “I’m too old to be considered cougar bait. I’m a little concerned. I’d have to be in my mid-20s for this to be a cougar thing. I really fall in the middle, so for me it’s kind of sad.”

Don’t worry David, I say you could be cougar bait. Did you guys know that he dated Ellen Barkin? Clearly, David likes the older women. Wonder if Courteney will make something like that a storyline on her show? What am I talking about, the entire show will be storylines like that. I’m excited.
