Courtney Love is claiming that she knew nothing at all about that hideous ad running in the UK featuring her dead husband Kurt Cobain shilling for Doc Martens . This is good to know. Courtney Love is a mess and and we realize she has no compunctions about profiting off her widow to dead world-changer status. But those ads are a little tasteless, even for her. So it’s good to know she’s blameless. Unless she’s a filthy liar.
“Courtney had no idea this was taking place and would never have approved such a use,” her rep tells PEOPLE. “She thinks it’s outrageous that a company is allowed to commercially gain from such a despicable use of her husband’s picture.”
The ad, apparently running only in the United Kingdom, shows Cobain wearing black Dr. Martens boots, draped in an angelic robe and sitting on a heavenly cloud. In the corner, it reads: “Dr. Martens. Forever.”
The campaign also features Sid Vicious and Joey Ramone. I miss my blue Doc Martens that I bought in London way back in the early 90′s for like, nothing. Those were the days. Juliana Hatfield, we miss you! Anyway, don’t let Courtney off the hook just yet. She IS planning on auctioning off Kurt’s possessions. She says that it isn’t about the proceeds but about an “exchange of energy”. Yes, the energy exhanged when a PayPal account is activated. Don’t front.

I disagree about the auction. I mean, it’s been YEARS since Kurt made his exit and I have to think that somewhere deep down, Courtney must resent his doing so in the manner he chose. Meanwhile, there are many fans who would love and cherish any memento they might be able to obtain. (Personally, if my husband died tomorrow, I’d have most of his crap out by Monday.) Go on Court! Time to unload.

She’s a liar. She knew all about it; probably got a nice chunk of change for it too either replace the money she stole from her daughters trust fund or to throw away on more botox and breast augmentations. She’s selfish and I have alot of other suspicions about her.
