CSI Actor Goes Ape Shit on Photographer

July 18th, 2007 // 2 Comments

Recently, one of TMZ’s photographers got attacked by Gary Dourdan, star of “CSI” just outside Hollywood nightclub, Hyde. Dressed in a full-on leather biker ensemble, Dourdan grabbed the cameraman, throwing him to the pavement, while the whole incident was caught on tape. Dourdan allegedly parked his Ducati motorcycle just outside Hyde, and began yelling at the photog to “get that f**king camera out of my face!” At that point, the photographer shifted his camera’s aim toward the ground, but was still reportedly attacked by Dourdan, despite the cries of other paparazzi urging Gary to stop slamming the man’s head to the pavement. Once finished with his rage, Dourdan said simply.

“I know all the cops around here, they’re my friends.”

Dang. Gary used to be a much happier guy, back when he was making soft-core porn. (Yeah, you guessed, link NSFW.)

I don’t necessarily agree with the way some members of the paparazzi get their pictures, everyone deserves privacy when they are in private (i.e. at home, at a friend’s home, in a hot tub in Mexico) but Dourdan was in a public place.
The paparazzi only exists because of society’s obsession with everything celebrity. It’s supply and demand, we demand these pictures and they supply them. The popularity of entertainment shows, magazines, websites and blogs proves this.
I firmly believe the celebrities that complain, spit on and attack the paparazzi would be the first ones on their therapist’s couch in the fetal position if the picture taking and stalking stopped. “‘Why don’t they like me anymore???????????????????????????????????????????”
