If I hadn’t put her name in the headline would you have recognized Dakota Fanning as the girl with her tongue to her lips in one of the outtake photos from Italian Vogue? She looks like one of those young models that has seen too much for her age.
I hope she goes for this funky downtown look in real life, it really makes me forget this Dakota and admit she’s 15 going on 16. (Happy early sweet sixteen, Dakota – her birthday is on February 23rd. I had to look it up to really believe.) To help me and the world accept her growing up, Dakota didn’t go the usual route of taking on a stripper role, but she did go for some girl on girl action.
Fanning has always been mature for her age and when it came to the kissing scene with Kristen Stewart for the movie, The Runaways, the actress was as professional as always. She told E! News “It wasn’t that big of a deal. It’s just another part of the story.”
This was pretty much the same answer that Stewart gave which is good because it’s so awkward when only one person says that was the most amazing kiss of my life.

I don’t understand why people keep saying she’s “insisting” on growing up. She IS growing up, like everyone else, she won’t be that little cute girl forever. People have to stop seeing Dakota as a kid and start realizing what an amazingly mature actress she is.
