What the hell is he so tired from? NOT doing shows? Damn, he’s whiny. Take a moment to eat and sleep, Dave. Dave Chapelle checked into a hospital for exhaustion. Ambien? Take a Benadryl. Or some warm milk. Damn.
TMZ has confirmed Dave Chappelle went to the hospital this past weekend because he was wacked out. But Chappelle’s rep told TMZ any wackiness was due to exhaustion — not drugs.
The rep says Dave went to the emergency room for “physical exhaustion.” She says he was treated with “food, water and sleep” for about 12 hours and then went home.
Callers to a DC 101′s Elliot in the Morning radio show this morning reported that Chappelle entered rehab over the weekend. Not so, his rep tells TMZ.
He’s probably still reeling from disappointing a nation and seeing “conspiracies” where there are none. Settle down, crazy. God, I miss that show.

Good point. I mostly support celebs who freak out when they’re actually working. That sort of pressure is undoubtedly wracking…but if you’re not doing anything, what’s the problem? Maybe he should consider drugs if not-doing them is causing such distress.

I’m in San Diego and he was guest on a radio show this morning. I heard it on my way into work. He called it, he wasn’t in San Diego but he sounded ALL SORTS OF CRAZY. Not the funny crazy that is genius Dave Chapelle. No no. Crazy Crazy. He was talking about AFRICA AGAIN. I was like, let it go Dave. Let it go. How he scared the white people when he went there and they wouldn’t have cared if he went to Spain. Then about how he went to Africa because thats where his ancestors are from. I mean. It started off funny and then got crazy. QUICK. Like 2nd question QUICK. Honestly, he didn’t sound okay. God I miss that show too. It must be hard to live with that everyday. Had to go crazy and lose 50 mil of the white mans money and disappoint ALL OF AMERICA WITH NO NEW SHOWS!! I’m okay. I’m not bitter. I’m moving on.

Ah, but he has been working… not sure how often he does it, but he did about a week of shows in San Francisco last month. And he was awesome as usual. Hey, here’s an idea… maybe he was really tired and sick… hmm, there’s a thought.
I don’t know the man personally, but I did have the chance to meet him last year. He seemed like a nice, funny man. I wish him well and hope he’s doing okay. If you ever have the chance to see him do standup, DO IT, he’s a genius.

Sheesh! Can’t a person be genuinely sick anymore? And what do you mean save him from himself? I have gone to the ER in my lifetime and it does not mean that I am in self destruct mode. He is not Lindsey Lohan or Brintey. You don’t hear about him doing lines or craziness. Yes, he smokes a lot of weed but that has medicinal value as everyone knows!
