David Copperfield’s Not-So Magical On-Stage Accident

December 19th, 2008 // Leave a Comment

When a man on stage at David Copperfield‘s Las Vegas show An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion got knocked on his ass during what is known as the “fan illusion,” it was very real.

Executive producer of the show Chris Kenner told People magazine,
“This is a trick David has done over 3,000 times. This was a freak
accident.” Lucky for the injured man, an employee of Copperfield’s, is
recovering from the mishap at the MGM Grand Hollywood Theater, which resulted in a broken arm.

The guy can at least rest easy that he wasn’t being mauled by a tiger. Or being raped. Or being raped by a tiger.
