Defiance is a World War 2 flick directed by Ed Zwick. Craig stars as one of three Belarusian brothers who busted up a Nazi concentration camp. It’s getting some Oscar buzz.

Vanessa Redgrave looks like Sam the Eagle from the Muppets but she, like Tilda Swinton, is a national acting treasure. It’s always the eccentric ones who come dressed like Dorothy Zbornack who do the best jobs in front of the camera. Note that Ellen Page is falling into that trap where she’s lost a ton of babyfat and trying to avoid those lesbian rumors by wearing chic black cocktail dresses.
