Diane Lane kept her distance from Ben Affleck off screen when the pair played lovers in new movie Hollywoodland because she didn’t want to be linked romantically to the actor. The actress feared that even a harmless dinner date with her co-star would send the paparazzi into a frenzy and leave her and Affleck’s respective partners, Josh Brolin and Jennifer Garner, asking questions. Lane says, “The paparazzi were so aggressive that I wouldn’t go and have dinner with him because I didn’t want a picture to come out and they start something about that.”

Of course she did.
