The first film that had actors Diane Lane and Richard Gere working together was back in 1984 in The Cotton Club. Since then, the two were paired up in Unfaithful in 2002 and six years later, the two are now promoting their new film, a romantic comedy, Nights in Rodanthe.

Based on a novel by The Notebook author Nicholas Sparks, the film has Lane and Gere playing star-crossed lovers. According to Diane, their experience as on-screen lovers was helpful, “We get better at not bumping teeth when we kiss, which is good practice, right? And I have to apologize to his wife.”

If I were Diane, I’d be less worried about Richard’s wife and more concerned about her own husband Josh Brolin. Dude is a little on the volatile side and Richard Gere’s pacifist ass wouldn’t stand a chance.

And can I just take a moment to say how happy I am to see my future employer Coco and Ice-T out and about? Love these two. I didn’t realize that my girl owned any dresses without slits up the side.
