Vanessa Hudgens may be trying to go in a new direction, work wise, but she’s definitely gone backwards publicity wise. Just when everyone had forgotten about her past nude photo scandal, another one rolls along to take its place.

While Vanessa’s people refuse to comment on the photos, one source tells E! that the pictures are definitely of Vanessa, but they are older photos that were taken even before the old ones leaked.

Vanessa isn’t issuing any sort of statement this time and is refusing to talk about the scandal. Some reports suggest that the pics are a publicity stunt to help her shed her good girl, Disney image. This could be an interesting idea is she will be starring as a prostitute in her next movie Sucker Punch.

However, even if that were the case, you’d think that she would release it after her family friendly film Bandslam comes out. I mean, she went to such lengths promoting it, it would just be sad if it failed.

Maybe if Vanessa went all the way with the bad girl, dirty photos thing, this wouldn’t be so bad. She could pose for Playboy, party a lot more, hit a few paparazzi; I’m thinking it could be a party. Of course, boyfriend Zac Efron would be shocked and break up with her which then mean he’s free, for me. Now that, my friends, sounds like a plan.
