But you know they have to be friends with benefits, right? In an interview with Time Out magazine, Drew Barrymore talked about the current status of her relationship with Justin Long as well as her directorial debut.

About her relationship with Justin, which still looks like its going strong, she said, “We’re friends, and we love each other, and that’s all we know.” Hmm interesting. The two of them are currently shooting Going the Distance, a movie about long distance relationships. “And it’s great because we can bring so much personal emotion to it, and yet we don’t want to be defined by anyone, because we don’t define ourselves,” she said of the film. “We can bring a lot of honesty to this thing.”

And the two of them have been having a good time working together. Has it been hard Drew? “No, we love it. I have high hopes for the film; we’re giving our best to it.” But honestly, how can it be hard working with Justin when you’re making out with him every few scenes. I would enjoy. You know you would too.

As for her directorial debut with the roller derby film Whip It, Drew definitely enjoyed the pain of the work. “Well, we also had female fight club. We discovered at a bar one night that I definitely have that, like, feisty little boy inside of me, and when I drink he comes out.”

She even told us all about these bowties that she keeps wearing. ” It’s my new thing! It makes me happy. It can definitely go asshole, but it can also be a fabric smile.” A “fabric smile”? Yah, no, I’m going to go with asshole. Anyone agree?
